About Me

My Story

I started sewing with my mom to make Jamz and scrunchies in the 80’s. With carefully curated color palettes and simple blocks, I design beginner friendly quilts to encourage others to express their creativity through sewing and quilting. To recover from all the “quilt math,” you can find me knitting on the couch with her 55 pound rescue dog, Calo. My work can be found in Make Modern magazine, Quiltmaker magazine and the Modern Quilt Guild’s quarterly magazine for guild members. Email her at info.modernrootsstitchery@gmail.com for collaborations and custom quilts.
