Tools, tools, tools – quilters have a ton of tools! I recently learned a new way to make half-square triangles that makes my seams much more accurate. It’s called the Omnigrid 4-6-12 inch ruler. Instead of drawing a diagonal line down the center of your half-square-triangle squares, you draw two lines with this ruler. You sew on the lines and cut the squares by putting the yellow line on your seams and rotary cutting from there.
I’m finding that my seams are much more accurate, which makes happy results when you are making a ton of half-square triangles for a quilt.
What other tools have you discovered recently that help make quilting more accurate?
